Shikhar Desai and B.L. Jakhar

Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at horticulture , Sardarkrushinagar. Among various insecticides tested alone or with fermented jaggery as foliar spray, DDVP + Fermented jaggery recorded minimum fruit damage and highest fruit yield (86.13 q/ha) followed by malathion (82.16q/ha) and malathion + fermented jiggery (78.10q/ha). The lowest avoidable loss 4.60% due to incidence of fruit fly in sponge gourd was found in treatment of malathion followed by malathion + fermented jaggery (9.32 % loss) however, such loss was highest in untreated plot (36.70 % loss).
