Abstract

Prevention of the productive formation’s contamination when performing casing cementing is possible by using the fluid loss reducing agents. Unfortunately, most of them densify the cement slurries, degrade their pumpability, and can cause serious problems in performing a cement job. This paper suggests an effect of polymeric fluid structurization in the porous media. Productive formation. At the same time, a fluid loss reducer under volumetric (macroscopic) conditions (in the casing and in the annular space) should meet all cementing technology requirements, while in the porous media (under microscopic conditions) such reducer should intensify non-Newtonian abnormalities of the filtrate and block the pores, thus reducing the amount of the filtrate penetrating into the nearwellbore formation zone. ΒΠK-402 agent has been explored and recommended for practical use. It is an aqueous solution of polydimethyldiallylammonium chloride. The authors present the results of the laboratory and field tests.
