FRUIT PLANTS INTRODUCTION IN THE TURKESTAN BOTANICAL GARDEN

Abstract

The article contains the result of the multi-year research on the fruit plants introduction in extremely unfavorable arid climate environment of the Kazakhstan south and the preliminary list of fruit trees composed on the basis of this research. It has been found that the planned introduction takes place from the moment of creation of the Botanic Garden. In this paper based on the concept of Malus Mill apple kind it has been found that the system of tree planting forms plant communities forming necessary microclimate. The structure of the apple varieties yield has also been investigated, that includes the following parameters: quantity of apples, their weight, length and width of the fruit. Using the example of Talgar Beauty pear, its growth and development has been investigated, as the fruits of the pear are highly valued and the local climate contributes to its growth. Research of grape has shown that late and very late good-keepers are preferential. ThatÂ’s why the extreme summer period influences the seeds and fructification in a great way and contributes to introduction of garden and vinicultural type of farming.
