URBAN GOOD GOVERNANCE BASED ON THE LAWS CAPACITY OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN CASE STUDY: METROPOLIS

Abstract

Base of this study is showing the existing capacity in laws and regulations according to country for good governance in the metropolitan city of Mashhad, the second metropolis with a population of more than two million four hundred thousand inhabitants and the millions of tourists throughout the year. The methodology of this research is descriptive and analytic and is applied. Refer to the opinions of elites and experts in urban management and benefiting from the experiences of professionals in Mashhad Delphi method was used as well as the selected views from citizens and investigating a number of indicators of urban good governance, presented the great values in this study. The results of this study show that at the end of the study with regard to the obstacles, problems and structural and functional characteristics in urban management system and analysis of them, strategies in order to provide a Good Governance Mashhad metropolitan by using the potentials and capacities of the country lies in the laws and regulations, are recommended.
