FEATURES OF STRUCTURE OF PROCESS OPERATIONS SET DURING PEAT EXCAVATION WITH STAGED DEHYDRATION

Eldar Abdollovich Kremcheev and Dmitrii Olegovich Nagornov

Abstract

A pathway of peat extraction technology is proposed in the direction of intensification of dehydration, comprising in drying the peat raw material in thick layers, its layered withdrawal into an enlarged roll followed delivery to the field oversized storage unit. Stockpiled raw materials can be transported throughout the year by road to end users or workshop for further processing into various products. By size and mass, the main type of excavation products is raw crumb peat with various moisture content. Based on the results of research on gravitational dehydration and drying peat in the field, the ways were proposed to intensify the dehydration of raw peat during its extraction at small contour and shallow deposits. The presented results of trial operation of drying technology in thick layers of peat and its layered withdrawal reflect an increase of seasonal yield and reduce the impact of adverse weather factors on the stability of the production process. The studies allowed developing the structure of process operations set during peat excavation with staged dehydration in an organized spreading and intermediate storage units that provide a rational state of the excavation process in conjunction with the production technology factors. An exemplary diagram of the technological platform in the initial and final period of operation of deposits by excavation technology was presented.
