THE ROLE OF RURAL MANAGEMENT (DEHYARI) IN SUSTAINABLE RURAL DEVELOPMENT, EMPHASIZING ON SOCIAL DIMENSIONS – A CASE STUDY ON THE RURAL MANAGEMENT OF GONABAD CITY

Abstract

Rural Management (Dehyari), as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in rural areas, should play an important part in sustainable social development of these areas. The research at hand intends to examine this fact. The research is done using a descriptive-analytic approach. The information is mostly gathered based on field methods, but documentary methods have also been used. Target population of the study was consisting of all heads of the family in rural areas among which 338 people were selected through the application of Morgan approach. A questionnaire was randomly distributed among this sample size. The results of the research show that the role of rural management in sustainable social development of these areas is weak and inefficient.
