Air pollution levels can be determined by calculating the quality of air pollutants in the atmosphere of the given site/ settlement area by using air quality Exceedance Factor. The airquality with respective to the presence of air pollutants like SO2, NO2, RSPM (PM10)and its impactson human habitation was studied in Gnanapuram residential area of Visakhapatnam and suggestednecessary mitigation measures to control pollution levels that are dangerous and hazardous tohuman health.
