Mohammadreza Yavarzadeh and Shirin Razavi

Abstract

The present experiment is performed in camb area, Chabahar township, in 2014 summer to study some farming characteristics of corn in the mixed culture with broad bean. The experiment was performed in the form of completely randomized blocks with three replications in 15 treatments including: Mere culture of corn (Z), mere culture of broad bean (B), mixed culture involving one row of corn + one row of broadbin (Z1B1), two rows of corn + one row of broad bean (Z2B1) and one row of corn + row rows of broad bean (Z1B2). The results of research showed that the pattern of mixed culture on the traits of height, grain number in maize, grain yield of corn plant was significant in 1% probability level, but it hadn’t significant effect on thousand grain. The best treatment combination of mixed culture was one row of corn + two rows of broad bean. Regarding to the results, it’s concluded that mixed culture of corn with broad bean has higher yield than mere culture of corn.
