MONITORING AND REDUCING THE NEGATIVE IMPACT OF HALITE DUMPS ON THE ENVIRONMENTANDREY VLADIMIROVICH IVANOV AND ALEXEY VLADIMIROVICH STRIZHENOKAbstract At one of the largest potash mines (Perm Region, Ural, Russia) saline dump dissolve under the influence of atmospheric precipitation, while the secondary or excess brines formed are a permanent and long-term source of salinization of the soil layer, surface and groundwater and air dust pollution. The most promising way to reduce the volume of excess brines is the recultivation of saline dumps, which is carried out to eliminate or significantly reduce the negative impact of halite waste on the natural environment.
