FACTORS INFLUENCING SATISFACTION IN HOUSING AREA INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT SERVICE IN PAMPANG RIVERBANKS, INDONESIA

Abstract

Basic infrastructure management of housings might involve community as an actor. The active role of the community or individual can be started with a positive attitude. The emergence of housings in riverbanks and slums in urban areas is a common problem. Lack of provision of facilities and infrastructure is motivated by issues of legality of the housing, which impacts the decline in the quality of infrastructure. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence satisfaction in the infrastructure management service and the factors that influence responsible behaviour toward the infrastructures of housing environment in Pampang river banks. The research implemented survey method by collecting primary data from interviews and questionnaires and secondary data. The instrument used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of this study indicated that level of community participation does not significantlyinfluencesatisfaction either in service management of environmental infrastructure or environmentally responsiblebehavior. On the other hand, the higher level of community participation positively influences the increaseon satisfaction in infrastructure management service and environmentally responsible behavior. The levelof basic infrastructure services of housing area influence satisfaction in infrastructure management servicesin housing area, but the level of basic infrastructure a service of housing area does not directly have significanteffect on environmentally responsible behavior, yet the indirect effect should be through satisfaction ininfrastructure management services in housing area. The higher level of housing area infrastructure serviceswill increase satisfaction in the infrastructure management services in housing area. Satisfaction ininfrastructure management services in housing area is a mediator for the effect of the level of basicinfrastructure services in the housing area to environmentally responsible behavior. The responsible behaviortowards infrastructure in the area of Pampang riverbanks is influenced by the satisfaction in the managementservice and the role of the community.
