Abstract

The research of hydroponic system contained fish pellets solution with lettuce (Lactuca sativa L) cultivated on variety of charcoal coconut shell (CCS) and charcoal rice husk (CRH) as planting media to reduce ammonia, sulfide, copper and zinc. The maximum time to process of reduction was about 30 days. The results of ammonia analysis showed that hydroponics can reduce the concentration of ammonia upto 50% with composition of planting media CRH (charcoal rice husk) 100%, CCS (charcoal coconut shell) 100%, media with composition CCS : CRH = 25% : 75%, while good planting media to reduce sulfide and zinc metals concentration was media with composition CCS: CRH = 25% : 75% and good composition of planting media to reduce copper metal concentration was CCS : CRH = 75% : 25%.
