Abstract

The boost in productivity of livestock industries through the improvement of livestock product production technology largely depends on the proper organization of herd reproduction and intensity of using the animals’ biological capabilities. Successful reproduction and growth of animals’ productivity is impeded by various diseases, including common ones, such as mastitis. The wide use of antibiotic containing drugs for mastitis treatment causes certain inevitable consequences for the animal’s body. For example, the residual content of antibiotics in bulk milk after treatment poses a serious danger to human health, deteriorates the quality of dairy products produced from such milk. In this regard, we set ourselves the task of developing a new, drug-free method of treating mastitis cows. This study deals with the improvement of asymptomatic cow mastitis therapies using alternative methods in the dry period. The article presents materials on typification of microflora in the milk of cows affected by the asymptomatic form of mastitis and efficacy of the veterinary homeopathic substance developed by us. We have developed and tested a veterinary homeopathic substance for treatment of asymptomatic cow mastitis during the dry period. Application of the veterinary homeopathic substance produced a good therapeutic effect and did not cause side effects and complications in cows. The developed veterinary substance has been approved and implemented in the Izhevsky PC, Akmola regions a new unconventional method of treatment of asymptomatic cow mastitis. This substance will serve as the basis for the development of a preparation for cow mastitis, which will further be proposed for production.
