Abstract

The habitat requirements of finches are not known to be able to propose management measures that maintain species populations in time and space. Similarly, the modification of stands of finches according to the composition and structure of hardwood stands is little or not known. A population survey of finches was carried out in the El-Kala National Park, using the point index of abundance index (I.P.A), an inventory has shown that 7 species of fringillidae nest in the region. The survey results by I.P.A made it possible to verify that the studied species were unequally distributed in the mosaic structure of the forest landscape of the study area. This unequal distribution corresponds to the respective preferences of the species, that is to say, to the expression of their ecological niche. So the results showed a collapse of the staff of the fringeless.
