TWO NEW RECORDS SPECIES OF ROVE BEETLES (COLEOPTERA, STAPHYLINIDAE: PAEDERINAE) FROM IRAQ

Abstract

Two new records species of rove beetles, Achenium depressum (Gravenhorst, 1802) and Sunius debilicorinis (Wollaston, 1857), belonging to subfamily Paederinae (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) are reported for the first time from Iraq, according to the Iraq Natural History Museum /University of Baghdad (No.429 in 25/4/ 2017), the insects identified by prof. Dr. Razzak S. Augul and Hanaa H. Al-Saffar. Descriptions and photographs of diagnostic characters for each species are provided.
