PREPARATION OF VERMICOMPOST IN AEROBIC CONDITIONS

Abstract

An attempt was made to achieve wealth out of waste, i.e. conversion of rejected degradable municipal solidwaste and slaughter waste in to useful also rich nutrient product that is vermicompost in aerobic conditions.We have selected Adilabad a town from Telangana State, India. We have developed our own methodologyand implemented also succeeded in achieving good result. The final product of the experiment was used inthe fields and proved the produce is hundred percent organic. The technology we applied is very simpleand can be handled. This way the municipal authorities or the government surely reduce rejected municipalsolid waste or any degradable solid waste can be converted into useful product. Finally this process willdefinitely increase the soil fertility without chemical fertilizers.
