Abstract
This paper analyzes and explains the design an adaptive-collaborative approach as a communication model to reduce a conflict resolution of the Lore Lindu National Park (LLNP), Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The method used was a case study in which the focus was on the conflict of land use between the Dongi-dongi community and the Lore Lindu National Park. The method consisted of a spatial analysis, the New Environmental Paradigm (NEP) analysis, and stakeholder analysis. This study concludes that distributed forest resource access and LLNP arrangements overtime are detrimental factors for forest-dependent poverty and environmental degradation. Our study suggests that a more collaborative-adaptive supportive governance framework, which integrates rural livelihood vulnerability with sustainability parameters, is needed thus to resolve the land use conflict in a Lore Lindu National Park. However, comprehensive, simplified and voluntary land use conflict cannot be done without sufficient roles of local institutions.
