Abstract
Present communication provides the diversity of Alternanthera genus of family Amarantheceae by conductingextensive and intensive field survey from July 2018- July 2021, in the different parts of Chikkamagalurudistrict of Karnataka. A total of 6 species were documented and their nutritive values were determined.
