Rats were exposed to cigarette smoke via inhalation from cigarette for 1hr/day for four weeks, showed measurable changes in lung tissue are emphysema, pulmonary edema, capillary permeability and thickness of epithelium. After supplementation of Omega-3 fatty acids, all of such histopathological alterations have been mitigated in comparison to cigarette smoke exposed rats.
