Abstract

The study was undertaken to conceive a corn steep liquor based fermentation medium of Trigonopsis variabilis for the production of D-amino acid oxidase. The fermentation profile of T. variabilis in the final medium showed that, a specific growth rate [u=0.34h-1], specific DAAO yfeld [Yxp=3004mg.g DW-1], biomass yield [X0=13.59gDW. I-1] and product yield [l'0=351U.GDW-1] were obtained during the fermentation at 30° C at 250rpm in 1.5 liter laboratory fermentor at pH 6.0 ± 0.05 after 40 hours.
