Abstract

The current experiment was conducted at the Zonal Agricultural and Horticulture Research Station in Hiriyur, Karnataka during the Rabi season of 2022–2023 to evaluate the best performing genotypes in dry zone of Karnataka with twenty- seven different genotypes of garlic. The experiment had two replications and was set up using a randomized complete block design. Analysis of variance showed that existence of high degree of variability among the genotypes. On basis of mean performance, Thandigudi local performed better for vegetative and yield parameters with highest yield of 13.85 t/ha and for quality parameters DOGR- 157 and DOGR- 336 performed better.
