Abstract
Aphyllophorales diversity of Dang forest region of Nashik District, Maharashtra, India was explored for the first time. The present study reported 18 species namely; Microporous vernicipes, Schizophyllum cumini, Ganoderma gibbosum, Ganoderma tropicum, Inonotus hispidum, Trametes elegans, Favolus tenuiculus, Polyporus alveolaris, Inonotus subhispidus, Podoscypha petalodes, Auricularia cornea, Tramates globossa, Lenzites betulina, Trametes aesculin, Inonotous radiatus, Ganoderma enigmaticum, Pinopohra polygonia and Pinopohra incarnate belonging to 9 different families of Aphyllophorales from five different regions under investigation. The key characters of fruiting body of fungal specimens viz., shape, gills, color, cap, texture, surface, margin, mycelium, hyphae and basidiospores were studied. The region wise diversity of members of Aphyllophorales were recorded. The current work is an update on the diversity of members of Aphyllophorales form the study area.
