Abstract
P. purpurogetzum was found to produces extracellular, intracellular and cell wall bound invertases. In the present investigation the influence of different zeolites was studied on production of invertase by P purpurogenum. Amongst the three different cation containing zeolites only sodium-containing zeolite at 0.5% stimulated the enzyme production to significant level, whereas potassium and ZSM zeolites were completely ineffective.
