Abstract
The present investigation focused on Sanger sequencing of rhizosphere soil fungi associated with Cicer arietinum L. from Baramati tahsil, Pune District of Maharashtra, India. Rhizosphere soil was used to isolate the fungi using the serial dilution technique and physico-chemical properties. Total 31 rhizosphere fungal species belonging to 11 genera were identified based on their morphological characteristics. Isolated fungal species were used to preparation of pure cultures and cultures were used for Sanger sequencing (ITS Marker). Further homology searches were performed using the BLAST against the NCBI GenBank database. The frequency percentage of Ascomycotina group was dominant (90.32%) followed by Zygomycotina (09.67%). GC-MS analysis of Aspergillus nidulans (MK722300) and Penicillium Griseofulvin (FJ753708) was carried out by using fresh mycelium and recorded 50 and 81 secondary metabolites respectively.
