Abstract
The rate of oxygen consumption of the crab, Burytelphum guerinl is in(seased initially when exposed to lethal concentration of lead nitrate. However, prolongation of the exposure period with sublethal concentration decreased their metabolic rate and exposed animal were also in hypoactive condition.
