Abstract

Study in cropping system on three improved cultivars of mango was undertaken at Mahatma Phule Agriculture University, Rahuri under sub-arid zone of Maharashtra. The cropping system ofVanraj + Kesar, I: I proportion, in alternate manner at the distance of 5 x 5 m was at par with Van raj + Langra, I : I proportion. In both the systems maximum fruit yield is obtained. Now a days Kesar is replacing Alphanso for export. Langra is having its own status in the Indian Markets. So both the cultiYars are selected for the cropping system. From the study, the farmers are advised to follow the cropping system of mango which includes Kesar and Langra at I : I proportion with Vanraj.
