Abstract

Ethrel (200 mg 11L) and cobalt chloride (15 pig mL-') were given as foliar application to groundnut cvs. M522 and SG-84 at vegetative (25 DAS) and flowering (45 DAS) stages. Number of branches, leaves, flowers and pods plant' increased with CoC1, and decreased with ethrel treatment compared to that of control. Number of branches and leaves recorded higher level in SG-84 than in M-522. More number of flowers were recorded in SG-84 during the early phase with higher number of pod set as compared with that of M-522.
