M.R. Rajan and C. N ithya

Abstract

The present study deals with the isolation of bioflocculam producing . microbes from Tannery polluted soil. Three bioflocculan! producing strains were isolated by using standard spectrophotomelenc method and out of which strain 1 and strain 3 having good flocculating activity and were identified as Trichococcus flocculzformis and psendomonas fluorescent by using motilily, drains staining and biochemical analysis. The optimum incubation period, pH and temperature of Trichococcus flocculiformis and Pseudomonas fluorescent were 5 days. 8 Sz 0 and 35 8t 40"C respectively.
