Abstract
One new species of hyphomycete, a pathogen and a new host record on royal palm namely Drechslera puttaparthh sp.nov. collected on the infected leaf of royal palm from the Vengalammacheruvu forest area of Puttaparthy mandal, Anantapur District, A.P. from South India is described.
