Abstract

The hydrobiological study on Carassius auratus var. bicaudatus (Redcap, Redform and Telescope) which belongs to carp family cyprinidae were made because carp has worldwide choice for culture. In the present study Carassius auratus var. bicaudat-us (Red Cap, Red form and Telescope) were collected from aquarium designing centers and were observed for the effect of parasitic infection on oxygen consumption values. Disolved oxygen was found to be an important factor in parasitic infection.
