Abstract
The comparative evaluation of potable water for drinking purposes of Dui/7Ra, Bihar, India was made from January to December, 1993. A number of important physico-chemical parameters of water were taken into consideration. It has been observed that certain standard permissible limits as suggested by World Health Organisation and Indian Standard Institution had crossed. Due to changes in the quality of drinking water the villagers suffer from a number of water borne diseases; the tribals were found to be suffering more than the non-tribals.
