Abstract
The heavy metal, lead, has been proved to impart adverse effects on humans, animals and plantation.The present study reveals the impact of lead (II) on a proteinous edible freshwater fish, namely, Mastacembelus armatus by examining the changes in the ionic regulations of some selected tissues before and after exposure to the pollutant, lead.
