Abstract
Sewage and sludge samples were collected from a tribal town, Taloda (M. S.). This town is situated at the foot hills of Satpura valley. The metals like Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb, Fe, Ca and Mg were determined by inductively copuled plasma atomic emission spectrophotometry (ICP-AES). For this determination HCI-HNO3 and 4N HNO3 extracts were prepared. The total organic matter (T. 0. C.) have also been determined to evaluate the presence of organic and metallic moieties in sewage and sludge environment.
