Abstract
VA myeorrhizal association of 32 medicinal plants belonging to 17 families were investigated. With the exception of Phyllanthus amarus, Portulaca okraceae and Solanum surattense, all the plant species have revealed mveorrhizal infection. Per cent of colonization and spore density varied among the plant species even within the family. Twelve VAM fungal spores belonging to Acaulospora and Glomus were isolated from the rhizosphere soils.
