Abstract

The Biological degradation of cypermethrin was studied using microbial culture isolated from soil by enrichment technique. The bacteria utilized cypermethrin as sole source of carbon but failed to utilize the same as a nitrogen source. The Bacteria was characterized upto the generic level on the basis of morphological and biochemical characters. Our results show that the isolate is probably a Pseudotnottas.
