Abstract
A study on fluoride levels in underground water of seven villages of Tosham sub division, district Bhiwani (Haryana) was undertaken. Fluoride content in 56% samples was found to be more than the WHO permissible levels. Fluoride concentration in the studied samples ranged from 0.18 to 9.0 ppm with an average of 2.92 ppm. Attempts have been made to correlate the fluoride concentration with other water characteristics. A negative correlation of fluoride with pH (r = - 0.0744) and positive with EC(r=0.3259) and total alkalinity (r = 0.1212) with a low level of significance, has been observed.
