Abstract
This study experimentally investigated the change in mirobial density level, the amount of organics that could be hydrolyzed, and sludge dewaterability of a waste activated sludge subject to acid or alkaline pretreatments. Responses of sludge were different under acid or basic environment, which were discussed separately.
