Abstract
Twenty isolates of Pyricularia grisea were isolated from blast infected local rice cultivars from three district of Assam, India. Grouping of these isolates were done on the basis of genetic variation by using ten RAM primers. only two primers viz, 01102 and opn 03 produced polymorphic banding patterns for these isolates. Isolates of P. srisea was divided into four groups , iz., A, B, C and D. Group A was closely related with 11. and group C with D. 1 low ever, out of 20 isolates, five isolates- viz., PoK10, PoK34, PoK67, PoK78 and t.k.)tme-cl a complete separate group. We have also observed the temperature effect on growth of these different groups of this fungus and showed that optimum temperature for growth of A, B, and C groups was however. 30'C was optimum for the group D.
