Abstract
Mycotypha strain no. AKM-1801, an thermophilic fungi was evaluated for the alkalization of coffee husk effluent. Coffee husk effluent inoculated with Mycotypha spores were incubated at 43 ±2°C for 27 days. The pH of the broth changed from 4.0 - 8.9 in 18 days. The decrease in reducing sugar, total sugar and organic carbon was achieved in 18 days.
