CRITICAL LOAD, ANALYSIS, MAJOR CONSTRAINTS AND FUTURE ISSUES

ANINDITA BHATTACHARYA AND AJAY TANEJA

Abstract

The critical load approach is a methodology according to which critical loads are used as a criterion to assess whether emission reduction strategies are sufficient. Different existing methods of the calculation of the critical loads have been discussed and the limitations of these methods have been pointed out. Few suggestions have also been incorporated for the future studies on deriving critical load like validation of input data on local scales.
