Dental caries is a most prevalent disease among children in global scenario. A total of 79 specimens were collected and a comparative study of aerobic bacterial flora in caries active and caries inactive individuals were examined based on their age groups and number of caries lesions. Out of 79,45 were caries active individuals and 34 were caries inactive individuals. The bacteria isolated were a mixed flora of Streptococcus mutans, Staphylococcus and Lactobacillus. In all comparison the Streptococcus mutans isolated were more in caries active individuals.
