Abstract
The cellular activity in the coelomic fluid was assessed against five human pathogenic microorganisms. Especially strains of Staphylococcus aureus are a prominent cause of wound infection. The present investigation identifies the different types of cells in the coelomic fluid. Screening was performed by disc diffusion method. The zone of inhibition range from 17 to 19 mm against 1.0 X 10 cells of each culture at 1 mg concentration of coelomic fluid. Coelomic fluid was most effective against Staphylococcus aureus. The Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) estimated by micro dilution method.
