Abstract

Soil test crop response (STCR) approach based field experiment was conducted for five years on pearl millet - wheat cropping sequence. The application of fertilizers as per STCR target 25 q/ha with FYM + biofertilizers for pearl millet and both targets 30 and 40 q/ha for wheat were achieved. Highest net monitory returns were achieved for STCR target 25 q/ha with FYM + biofertilizers for pearl millet and STCR yield target 30 q/ha for wheat. Application of FYM + biofertilizers for pearl millet crop increased the productivity of soil and yield of succeeding wheat crop. The soil nutrient status was also improved during the five year of experiment.
