Abstract
The caryophyllaeid cestode, Lytocestus indicus infects the fresh water toleost, clarias batrachus. Histochemical variations have been observed in the stomach of Clarias batrachusdue to the infection with Cytocestus indius. In the infected fish the carbohydrates, glycogen, Proteins and Lipids contents are increased significantly.
