Abstract

The present paper aims at studeying the seasonal variations and diurnal periodicity in some airborne fungi at Patan during Kharif season (Rainy season) from 15 th July 2011 to 14 th Nov 2011. Tilak air sampler was installed in groundnut field at 1.5 m. height. During investigation 55 different types of spores were encountered. Out of which diurnal periodicity of 9 dominant spore types were recorded in relation to meteorological data. The periodicity of Leptosphaeria, Nigrosporaconfirmed to the night pattern, while Cercospora, Pleospora, Pringshemia, Cladosporiumshows day pattern, where as Alternariashowed double peaks
