Abstract
Spirogyra Sps. can accumulate Cadmium (Cd) at a rapid rate at 7 days incubation period than at 14 days and 21 days incubation period. The catalase activity showed negative correlation with increasing metal ion concentration and increasing incubation periods. Induction of Cadmium in the cells showed drastic morphological changes.
