Abstract

Glucose is the main fuel substance of the body so it is important to measure the amount of glucose in hyper as well as hypoglycemic persons. There are number of glucose biosensor has been designed for this purpose. Modern nanotech approach like single walled nanotubes (SWNTs) SWCNTs, nanohybrids, nanowires and fabricated nanocomposites materials are used as a striking concert of glucose biosensors. Recently the number of enzymes as well as fluorophores and dyes are used for fluorescence glucose biosensor that may help in the monitoring of fluorescence intensity which directly states about level of glucose concentration. Modified electrodes of glucose biosensor as well as advance version of amperometric and surface acoustic wave (SAW) glucose biosensors also leads to efficient detection of glucose.
