ABSENCE OF CDT 1 GENE IN E. COLI ISOLATED FROM MARKET MUTTON

Abstract

The E. coli serotypes isolated from market mutton were tested to find out virulence gene, CDT 1. Total 35 serotypes were tested during the experiment with Real Time PCR using SYBR Green II fluorescence dye. Amplified product of 707 bp was confirmed by melt curve analysis and also on 2 % agarose gel. None of the isolates were found positive for CDT 1 gene.
