Abstract

Soil Test Crop Response Correlation Studies were conducted to formulate the yield target equation for pre seasonal sugarcane on Inceptisol.Fertilizer adjustment equations under IPNS were formulated for pre seasonal sugarcane by following Ramamoorthy’s targeted yield model. The nutrient requirement for producing one tonne of pre seasonal sugarcane was 1.69, 0.53 and 1.93 kg N, P2O5 and K2O respectively. The percent contribution from soil and fertilizer nutrients were found to be 51.78 and 44.50 for nitrogen, 90.02 and 34.47 for phosphorus and 39.33 and 53.85 for potassium respectively. Similarly, the percent contribution of fertilizers in presence of FYM was 45.25 for nitrogen 35.34 for phosphorus and 62.71 for potassium. While percent contribution of FYM was 21.85 for nitrogen 20.97 for phosphorus and 12.72 for potassium. The in order to obtain 150 t ha-1 sugarcane yield by considering average soil test values 220, 16 and 350 kg ha-1 N,P and K respectively the fertilizer requirement values is 313,188 and 295 t ha-1 along with 15 t ha-1 FYM the fertilizer requirement values is 262,150 and 203 kg ha-1 N,P2O5 and K2O respectively.
