An investigation was undertaken to study carbon sequestration potential of some fruit trees in satara district of Maharashtra in India during 2011-2012. Locally grown fruit trees were selected for estimation of carbon according to age. Coconut had the maximum total biomass and carbon sequestration among all the other trees.
