Abstract

A field investigation was carried out at farmer field, Gaitara, Raipur, Chhattisgarh during kharif season of 2013-14 to evaluate the impact of combined use of fly ash with inorganic fertilizer and FYM on soil health and yield of rice in Entisol. The result indicated that significant improvement of yield and yield attributes in terms of number of tillers hill-1 (6.32), effective tillers hill-1 (6.04), number of grain panicle-1 (95.47), test weight (24.02 gm), grain yield (42.11 q ha-1) and straw yield (61.18 q ha-1) were recorded with application of treatment 75% GRD + 40 t Fly ash ha-1 + 5 t FYM ha-1. Treatment 75% GRD + 40 t Fly ash ha-1 + 5 t FYM ha-1 significantly increased available nutrient status in terms of N (159.52 kg ha-1), P (3.52 kg ha-1) and K (239.75 kg ha-1) in soil.
